Small World

GO TO THE BEGINNING OF THE BLOG

Last night we met with the young man who will be doing the tile and counter work on the new cottage... Costin.  He is trying to keep the job close to our budget levels and we are relinquishing some nice-to-have decorative touches that add a lot of expense.  In the end, the compromises seem reasonable and acceptable.

As you can see, I have put logos on the right side which link to the websites of the people involved in this job... although a few do not have a website.  Costin does.  The problem is that his site is infected with some malicious code that initiates a warning on Google Chrome and Firefox browsers.  It may do the same on other browsers, but I haven't checked.

When I showed Costin what happens when his site address is entered in a browser, he was quite upset.
Apparently, his site has been "hacked" before and it appears that someone has done it again.  Costin indicated that he was trying to get his site reworked, but that his website designer was difficult to reach since he was based in Thailand!

We suggested that he contact our two younger sons who run a website design company just two block from his showroom.

We gave Costin a card and he said he would be in touch with them.  I think they would enjoy doing business with each other.  Costin and our youngest son are about the same age and, after a nice talk with Costin, seem to have quite a bit in common.
